Aims of the school

Our focus at Grangewood is on the ‘whole child‘ and so we combine strong, multi-professional teams to integrate education with therapy, with an extensive range of activities for children and their families after school and during the holidays.

Support to learn

In this way, we support parents and carers, whilst giving our pupils the best opportunities to learn and socialise.

Please browse our website to find out more about Grangewood and feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.

10 Golden Rules

Our Golden Rules are written from a child’s perspective and form the foundation of the ethos of our school:

Treat me with respect and dignity

Talk to me, not about me

Listen to what I have to say

Allow me to make choices and decisions for myself

Give me time to respond and interact in my own way

Stay calm with me even if I do not stay calm myself

Let me know what's going to happen

Help me to stay safe

Try to understand me, I can't explain my feelings

Telling me what I am good at builds my confidence
