Welcome to

Grangewood School

A learning community

Welcome to Grangewood School, a member of the Eden Academy Trust.

We are a primary school for children with a range of learning disabilities including those who are autistic and those who have physical or sensory needs.

Grangewood School pupils attend school at one of three specialist locations. Our main school site is at the newly built Grand Union Village school in Hayes, Northolt.

Some pupils with additional visual impairments attend Sunshine House Specialist Educational Setting in Northwood and some Year 1 and 2 pupils attend our Eden Pinkwell Satellite based at Pinkwell School in Hayes. We will use these three specialist locations whilst a brand-new school, with exceptional facilities, is built on our beautiful wooded site in Eastcote, Middlesex.

The focus at Grangewood School is on the ‘whole child’. We create teams of professionals to integrate education with therapy and provide a range of after school and holiday activities.

In this way, we support parents and carers, whilst giving our pupils the best opportunities to learn and socialise.

Please browse our website to find out more about Grangewood School and feel free to contact us with questions, or to arrange a visit, you will be most welcome.

Liz Edwards, Headteacher

Sunshine House is a specialist education setting for blind and partially sighted children from Eden’s Grangewood and Moorcroft Schools.

Eden Pinkwell Satellites in Hayes, West London are specialist education satellites for SEND pupils from Eden’s Grangewood and Moorcroft Schools.

Education

We provide an enriching curriculum which is broad, balanced and appropriate to the needs of each pupil who attend Grangewood School.

Our vision for our pupils

Our focus is on the ‘whole child’ and so we combine strong, multi-professional teams to integrate education with therapy, with an extensive range of activities for children and their families after school and during the holidays.

Therapy services

We operate in multi-disciplinary teams with teaching and therapy staff working alongside each other, providing parents and carers with open communication and support strategies to use at home.
